Why is there a dash where my device status should appear?

If your Insteon Hub cannot communicate with a device when requesting status, its status will be unknown, and Homeboy will display a dash where the device status would normally appear.

There are many reasons why an Insteon device might be unreachable, and it may only be temporary.

Try tapping the device in Homeboy to see if your Hub can retrieve the status for just that device.

If not, follow Insteon's own troubleshooting steps to identify and potentially resolve possible Insteon device communication issues.
